Happy Mother’s Day
May 9, 2010House Plans
March 24, 2010We are currently in the process of packing up the last 5 years of our lives into boxes. We have had a few realtors in our home and we are meeting with the realtor we chose on April 2 to list the house for sale. The house will officially go on the market for sale on April 7 to get through Easter weekend as well as baseball season openers! Our realtor is a baseball fan and headin to Bosten for opening day so we decided it would be best to wait until the Easter break is over and she’s back from Bosten to list the house for sale.
Every once in a while Emma will ask me if we are taking certain things with us to our new house. She’s asked about taking her shoes, Taffy, her babies, etc. I think it is her way of trying to figure out what’s about to happen.
The goal is to be able to start breaking ground in the fall and putting a house up over winter so hopefully we’ll be in until spring. Of course, it all depends on how long it takes for our house to sell and also how long it takes for the surveying and permits.
Here’s the plan of the new house:
Big Boy Haircut
March 16, 2010Eli got a big boy hair cut today. He’s had haircuts before, but this time, he got a big boy buzz cut. I think he looks so cute, older and now ready for spring nd summer!
Lego Fun
March 16, 2010The kids enjoy building with the Lego’s. We like to build farms, towers, houses It can be so much fun. Eli’s favorite part is taking them apart and throwing them back into center basket.

November 19, 2009A Family Day
November 19, 2009Since Josh has been on vacation this week, we dedicated Tuesday to being a family day. We went to the Crayola Factory. Both of our kids love to color and we thought it would be something fun they would enjoy. It was a great time. Next time we go though, I’m hoping not to have a toddler who is almost 2 to chase around! After the Crayola Factory, we went to a Build a Bear. We let the kids each make a Christmas moose–Holly & Hal. Here’s a few of the pictures from the day. Tomorrow is Josh’s last day home and I think we will all miss him when he goes back to his full time work and school schedule. Thankfully, Christmas break is only a few weeks away!!
Happy Halloween!
October 31, 2009A Slumber Party!!
October 14, 2009Emma and Hope had their first sleep over last night. I was very happy that when I told them to go to bed, there was no talking and everyone settled down!
Baby to Big Boy!
October 14, 2009Two weeks ago, I took on the challenge of turning the nursery into a big boy room. Here’s a small glimpse of what it looked like before:

I started by taking down the ‘Classic Pooh’ wall paper border and murals on the walls. Then set to work painting. We chose an Elmo and airplane theme–two of Eli’s favorite things! I’m happy with how it turned out. I’d still like to get an airplane stencil to put a few airplanes around the room, but may have to settle for decals or framed prints.

Fun for All
September 9, 2009While we were in Pittsburgh this weekend, we took the kids to a place Fun for All. There’s an arcade, miniature golf, go carts, kiddie rides and a huge indoor playland. This playland is about 3 stories high. Eli didn’t care much for it because they have machines to shoot balls what were loud. Emma enjoyed playing a few arcade games and riding a few rides before heading home.
